Job summary

Co-op Wholesale in Scunthorpe is seeking a Category Assistant to join our Trading team. You’ll help ensure the right product, price, and supplier data sit behind every item we buy and sell across our direct-to-store category, in a fast-paced wholesale environment.

This hybrid role involves loading promotions, supporting key reports, resolving pricing queries, and keeping timelines on track while ensuring compliance with GSCOP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience using systems and tools to manage commercial processes.
• Confidence working with data and spotting trends and patters.
• Good organisation and time management skills.
• Strong communication and ability to influence others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate product, price, and supplier data in internal systems.
• Support teams with reports, documentation, and meeting preparation.
• Load promotions and commercial terms into systems.
• Resolve pricing and payment queries quickly and effectively.
• Track timelines, flag risks, and help embed new processes.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and partners to keep everyone aligned.
• Make sure we're always compliant with legal and regulatory standards, including GSCOP.
