Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Category Insight Analyst to help acquire business and competitive information and translate it into actionable insights.

The role involves working cross-functionally, managing relationships with third-party data providers, and proactively identifying insights to shape strategies and performance understanding. This is a new role, reporting to the Category Development & Insight Lead, with opportunities to influence its development.

Key Responsibilities:

Best in class reporting:

  • Lead and own the delivery of key category reports and processes, ensuring they are well-established and utilized across the business.
  • Manage third-party insights partners effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Train team members in data and insight, upskilling multiple teams, especially commercial and marketing.

Sales, Marketing and Customer Growth Strategies:

  • Monitor market trends, customer performance, and competitor activity.
  • Support in identifying long-term opportunities and emerging channels.
  • Provide insights to sales and marketing teams to enhance performance.

Driving Actionable Insight:

  • Shape the sources of insight needed for growth.
  • Manage quantitative and qualitative projects to extract key insights.
  • Ensure effective use of data and insights across the business.

Category strategy and vision:

  • Provide insights to support category opportunities and strategic pillars.
  • Apply insights by channel to influence shopper behavior and sales.
  • Leverage global best practices and learnings for the UK market.

About you:

  • 2+ years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Key Account Management, or Sales, preferably in FMCG.
  • Degree level education preferred.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint, with data manipulation proficiency.
  • Familiarity with market data sources like CGA, Circana, Nielsen, Kantar.
  • Results-driven, accountable, team-oriented.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and influencing stakeholders.
  • Active learner with strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
