The Role

Superb opportunity to join an award-winning leading law firm that offers specialist quality legal advice to a broad range of Private Insurance Clients. The firm is recognised across the globe for its outstanding client care and high-quality lawyers.

Due to the development and expansion of the firm’s Catastrophic Injury Team, it is now seeking to appoint an experienced Paralegal to work alongside its existing Catastrophic Injury Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with serious injury matters. There is a steady flow of new instructions from existing clients and the firm is seeking a motivated and organised Paralegal with ambition, to provide an exceptional level of service to its clients.

The role involves working closely with a Legal 500 recommended Partner on high value personal injury claims, both litigated and pre-action, and will include liaising with barristers and experts. The Paralegal will be involved in preparing instructions to Counsel, court bundles, drafting and reviewing applications and witness statements, reviewing and analysing records/disclosing, instructing legal experts, and attending conferences and trials.

The firm is based in Manchester and the location is commutable from Huddersfield, Preston, Wigan, Bolton, Macclesfield, Warrington etc.

The Candidate

• Paralegal with experience in dealing with serious injury matters
• Must be keen to develop their legal expertise by assisting a Partner with both litigated and pre-action catastrophic injury cases
• Excellent organisational skills and a forensic attention to detail
• Computer literacy together with excellent numeracy and communication skills are also essential.
• Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
