Job summary

Evri in Bury St Edmunds is seeking HGV Class 1 Day Drivers for twilight shifts. Full-time roles are 40 hours per week, with some weekends, based at the Bury St Edmunds depot.

You will drive longer routes across the EVRI network, ensuring safe pickups and deliveries, updating paperwork, and assisting depot staff as needed. A valid Cat C+E entitlement with CPC and tachograph is required; newly qualified drivers are welcome and will complete a short assessment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 entitlements (Cat C/E), CPC and tachograph.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome; short driving assessment will be required.
• Excellent communication and a safety-focused, physically capable mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drive longer routes on a twilight schedule, delivering across the EVRI network.
• Ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely; update paperwork as required.
• Assist depot staff with heavier items and adapt to route changes when needed.

?Our HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts are 40 hours per week with some weekends.

Our twilight shift typically starts at 14:00.

WhatYoullDo:

Our?HGV Class 1 drivers?usually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in theEVRinetwork.Youllensure parcels are collected and deliveredsafely;paperwork updated andassistdepot staff with heavier items from time to time. We know the great British roads and weatherdontalways play nicely, soyoullneed to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route.

What We Can Offer You:

£17.82 per hourwith an overtime rate of £26.73
