Evri is hiring HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for the Bury St Edmunds depot. You will drive longer routes, ensure safe collection and delivery of parcels, and support depot staff with heavier items as required.

Night shifts start late and require a safety-forward mindset and clear communication to keep routes running smoothly. The role offers a night-time schedule with weekend work, a competitive hourly rate, and a benefits package including pension and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) entitlements.
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph required.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome; driving assessment will be undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Drive longer routes safely between depots and clients.
• Ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely; update paperwork.
• Assist depot staff with heavier items when needed.
• Adapt to road conditions and find alternative routes as required.
• Work night shifts; coordinate to ensure timely deliveries.

We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for?HGV Class 1 Night Drivers?(or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join ourgrowing?Bury St Edmunds depot.

WhatYoullDo:

Our?HGV Class 1 drivers?usually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in theEVRinetwork.Youllensure parcels are collected and deliveredsafely;paperwork updated andassistdepot staff with heavier items from time to time. We know the great British roads and weatherdontalways play nicely, soyoullneed to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route.

Our HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts are 40 hours per week with some weekends.

Our Night shift typically starts between00:00-02:00

What We Can Offer You:

£17.61per hour with an overtime rate of£26.42
