Job summary

TÜV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) seeks a CAT2 Inspection Engineer for the Dalry client site to join the industrial team for inspection and certification of pressurised static equipment. You will perform examinations, support WSE processes and coordinate with NDT providers to meet regulatory and client requirements.

Experience with inspection, NDT methods, and understanding of pressure equipment fabrication or repair is desirable; Incorporated Engineer status is preferable.

Qualifications

• Eyes for detail and accuracy in inspection tasks.
• Ability to defend difficult technical decisions with evidence.
• Good interaction and teamwork with colleagues and clients.
• Understanding of fabrication or repair of pressure equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Written Schemes of Examination (WSE).
• Identify preparation requirements from the WSE.
• Conduct examinations in accordance with the WSE.
• Undertake simple NDT methods: ultrasonic thickness, MPI, dye penetrant.
• Coordinate NDT providers for extended requirements or specialist methods.
• Review design calculations and sentence defects.
• Participate in Risk Based Inspection studies.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CAT2 inspector to join our growing Industrial team to provide Inspection and Certification of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements.
