About your new role
Our Casualty teams provide a full, expert service in defending public (PL) and employers' liability (EL) claims across the private and public sectors. Weightmans' team is recognized for delivering defendant litigation services in these and other specialist Casualty areas. We operate nationally with dedicated commercial insurance and public sector teams.
We are currently recruiting a Paralegal to join our commercial casualty team.
In this role, working with a team dedicated to major insurer clients, you will manage your own varied caseload under supervision, and assist Partners and team members in defending a wide range of claims. Responsibilities include managing litigated casualty claims, dealing with Pre-Action Disclosure applications, Stage 3 hearings, Infant Approvals, preparing witness statements, conducting legal research, drafting instructions to Counsel and experts, preparing client reports, court attendance, client meetings, and responding to correspondence and enquiries.
