Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Casual Youth Development Phase U14’s Girls Academy Assistant Coach on a casual basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the Girls Academy coaching programme and developing players technically, tactically, physically, and psycho-socially in the youth development phase, in line with the LFC Women's pathway philosophy.

What will you be doing?

1. Lead planning, delivering, and supporting high-quality coaching sessions to develop all players within your age group, utilizing the support of the assistant coach effectively wherever possible. Sessions should align with Senior Management Team expectations and reflect the club's vision and philosophy, tailored to the players' needs.
2. Keep records of players' progression and produce reports for players, parents, and other coaches through Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
3. Liaise with key personnel when planning and arranging coaching sessions and matches to ensure appropriate support, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
4. Coordinate with the Senior Management Team on player development and external talent identification processes.
5. Maintain accurate records of all activities and support analysis of evaluation information for continuous improvement.
6. Perform other duties relevant to the post and aligned with the objectives of the LFC Foundation.
7. Attend all weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings.
8. Complete all administrative processes, session planning, IDPs, staff performance reviews, and other operational requirements punctually and to a high standard.
9. Participate in CPD events internally or with external stakeholders and pursue your own CPD development plan.

Who are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, you should have recent experience in a professional youth development setting, including working with international youth players. Experience in youth talent identification, supporting recruitment processes for bringing players into the girls' academy, and writing/delivering individual development plans is essential.

You should demonstrate knowledge of the FA girls and women’s strategy, understanding the pressures and commitments for players, along with support strategies for their emotional well-being. Reliability, conscientiousness, flexibility, and availability for sessions and fixtures are crucial.

Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary to develop good working relationships with the MDT, support staff, and senior management. Role model behaviors should be evident.
