Job description

About you:

We are looking for an individual passionate about customer service, water safety, and poolside duties. Someone who enjoys a dynamic and fast-paced environment and being on the move behind the scenes to deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for customers. You will be a driven, ambitious, and independent team player with a positive and welcoming personality, able to build friendly relationships with colleagues and guests.

About the role:

  1. Work as part of a team to ensure members and visitors are welcomed, their needs understood, and a warm, friendly, and professional atmosphere maintained, ensuring high standards of customer care to generate customer loyalty.
  2. Assist customers with choosing and enrolling in the centre's courses.
  3. Be aware of all Health & Safety issues within the centre, constantly implementing and assessing practices, and drawing attention to any unsafe practices.
  4. Promote the centre positively at all times, maintain displays of professional material, and promote & control items for resale and hire.
  5. Handle telephone, written, and personal bookings and payments for the use of the centre's facilities.
  6. Ensure cash handling and reconciliation of monies are carried out and raise orders and process via the Efins system when required.
  7. Operate the public address systems, telephones, and computer booking system.
  8. Help maintain the centre in a clean, tidy, and pleasant environment.
  9. Undertake any other duties to assist in the running of the centre.
  10. Work closely with partners in Live and Move and Exeter Live Better (Exeter City Council) on strategic projects and communications.
  11. Assist with developing Exeter Live Better as a place-based brand, adhering to additional Council branding and guidelines.
  12. Undertake any other duties supporting Exeter’s place-based brand "Exeter Live Better".
