RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve all customers in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner at all times.
  • Ensure guests receive the highest standard of customer service at all times.
  • Advise guests on all products available within the venue.
  • Promote a happy and welcoming atmosphere within the venue.
  • Work both alone and as part of a team, ensuring all guests' needs are met to the highest standards.
  • Maintain stock levels and rotation within work and storage areas to avoid waste and assist with stocktaking.
  • Ensure the work area is adequately stocked with glassware, ice, condiments, and other sundries according to stock levels and business needs.
  • Lay up and prepare restaurants/boxes for serving meals, tea, coffee, and light refreshments.
  • Serve guests efficiently with food and beverage knowledge, and carry out necessary duties as directed by your manager.
  • Serve wine and other drinks from the bar as directed by management.
  • Keep work and public areas clean and tidy before, during, and after opening hours, paying attention to Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines.
  • Ensure all orders are correctly dispensed, recorded, and authorized for billing.
  • Ring through orders and obtain payment in line with Racecourse procedures.
  • Close tills according to company procedures.
  • Keep temperature records and other paperwork accurately.
  • Follow all licensing policies and procedures.
  • Handle cash, stock, and equipment securely.
  • Act as an information point for customers.
  • Record wastage and dispose of rubbish according to venue procedures and recycling initiatives.
  • Adhere to company policies and undertake other duties as required by business demands.

  • Work with honesty and integrity.
  • Experience in hospitality is preferred but not essential.
