Job Description: Casual Tutor, Roofing: Sheeting/Cladding & Slating/Tiling- Part Time

Background in the construction roofing trade? Fancy sharing your skills & knowledge with the next generation? We're looking for someone patient and super-organised to work in our Bricklaying and Maintenance team to teach our new apprenticeships in roofing: sheeting / cladding and slating / tiling.

You'll need to be:

  • organised and reliable
  • supportive, patient and approachable
  • confident with industry-specific tools and machinery, with a great knack for explaining things simply and clearly
  • flexible and happy to muck in and do what's needed
  • knowledgeable and experienced in roofing

What you'll be doing:

  • teaching apprentices how to slate and tile roofs
  • teaching apprentices how to install sheeting materials to roofs
  • creating and designing resources for use in teaching
  • assessing and giving feedback
  • working as part of a team to deliver an exceptional student experience

In return, you'll get:

  • £29.25 + (£4.62 market forces supplement) per hour of teaching. A total of £33.87 per hour
