Could you be a Sense Casual Support Worker?

Sense is offering an exciting opportunity for a Casual Support Worker to join our team in the Short Breaks (Respite) Service located in Newtownabbey.

This is a casual role with flexible hours to suit your availability. We offer part-time, full-time, and relief/bank contracts, working flexibly across the week.

The position offers a wage of £11.75 per hour.

Based in our 2-bedded Short Breaks Residential service, supporting adults with complex needs, the role involves varied shifts including sleep-ins, weekends, evenings, and days. We seek individuals who value flexibility, commitment, and shared values, making it a great entry point into the care sector.

We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:

  • Willing to attend training as needed

No two days will be the same

Our goal is to support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. Your role will focus on empowering individuals to live independently.

This role might include supporting people with:

  • Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Finances
  • Medication and wellbeing
  • Community outings for shopping or other activities
  • Social and nightlife activities

Note: The role may include regular sleep-in shifts, which involve sleeping at the residence and potentially waking during the night to provide care.
