As a stock assistant, you will be required to sort and store stock so that it can be redistributed to the shops as needed. You will need to allocate stock based on type, quality, and saleability. A basic understanding of vintage items is required, as this stock will need to be separated for distribution to shops that sell vintage items, as well as selecting stock suitable for our eBay operation.
Responsibilities include:
- Effectively sort and store stock by type and quality.
- Work alongside the Hub Manager to ensure stock is selected and delivery is arranged.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure they have the correct stock for their deliveries, with labels correctly marked for each shop.
- Ensure Gift Aid stock is clearly marked as Gift Aid according to current procedures.

- Comply with Manual Handling guidelines.

Administration
- Check emails regularly to process stock requests promptly and communicate with shops about stock availability.
- Respond to calls from shop management regarding stock requests.
Other
- Uphold and promote the ethos and values of Valley CiDS.
- Stay informed about Valley CiDS activities and support publicity and income maximization efforts.
- Be willing to travel to training sites and meetings as needed.
- Perform any other reasonable duties related to the role.
