Are you looking for a fun, rewarding role in a friendly & supportive environment where your job is to engage & inspire children? We are seeking highly motivated & enthusiastic playworkers to join our team.

Wokingham Borough Council is expanding its offer for children accessing the DfE funded Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) for children with SEND. The programme provides free fun activities and healthy lunches during Christmas, Easter, and Summer school holidays.

The main purpose of the Playworker role is to deliver a fun, caring, engaging, and secure environment for children aged 5 to 13 with SEND. This involves providing 1:1 support and assisting with organizing a range of appropriate and enjoyable leisure activities.

The hours are flexible within our operating times. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by the HAF Programme Manager, the SEND Project Co-ordinator, and the site lead. You will assist with daily operations, ensuring activities are delivered to high standards, and provide a safe and fun environment for children to explore and grow.
