Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a Casual Retail Assistant to deliver excellent customer service, support click and collect orders, and assist the sales team with promotions. You will help customers, pick parts from the warehouse, and ensure a tidy store environment while representing the company’s values.

The role is a casual basis with weekend work to cover sickness and leave, requiring a proactive, team-oriented attitude and good IT skills. Prior car parts knowledge is helpful but not mandatory.

• Confident user of IT and computer systems.
• The ability to work well with others.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
• Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders whilst maximising sales where possible.
• Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders.
• Assist the sales team on promotions by answering telephone queries and managing electronic queries.
• Fully satisfy customer needs in respect of part orders, returns, or queries.
• Check returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
• Contribute to a positive team performance while working on personal targets to improve sales promotions.
• Use the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
• Keep customer-facing areas clean and tidy.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
• Promote a professional image and represent company values.
• Work towards achieving relevant KPIs.

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Casual Retail Assistant is all encompassing for our aim to deliver excellent Customer Service. You will play a crucial part of the team; contributing towards achieving branch and individual targets through face to face sales; servicing click and collect orders and developing sound customer relationships.

Main Duties Include

• Serve trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders whilst maximising sales where possible.
• Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders.
• Assisting the sales team on sales of product promotions by answering telephone queries and dealing with electronic queries as and when needed.
• Fully satisfy customer needs in respect of any part orders, returns, or queries they may have.
• Check customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
• Contribute to a positive team performance whilst working on personal benchmarks to optimise personal performance and work on sales of product promotions.
• Utilise the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
• Ensure that the customer facing areas of the branch are kept clean and tidy.
• Develop strong working relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
• Always promote a good image of the company by always representing our values and maintaining a professional appearance.
• Always working towards the achievement of relevant set KPI’s.

Working Hours

Casual basis to cover sickness and annual leave. Will include weekend working.
