Job summary

Blackburn with Darwen Council is recruiting casual Residential Support Workers across our children's residential services. You will work in our outstanding short breaks services supporting children with disabilities and young people on the edge of care.

Roles involve promoting independence, wellbeing and personal development in a safe, nurturing environment. Successful applicants will need to be flexible to work across all services and shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Work across our children's homes and short break services as required.
• Support children and young people to enjoy positive, safe, and meaningful experiences.
• Help promote independence, wellbeing, and personal development.
• Support young people to access activities, develop life skills, and engage with their communities.
• Work as part of an experienced and supportive residential team.
• Contribute to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
