Job summary

Falmouth Exeter Plus seeks enthusiastic Casual Nursery Nurses to join nurseries at Falmouth and Penryn campuses. The role supports children aged 6 months to five years, delivering daily activities in warm, safe environments.

You will cover shifts across Monday to Friday 8:30 am–5:30 pm on an ad-hoc basis, with an enhanced DBS check required. NVQ Level 3 or Level 2 considered; previous childcare experience preferred.

About The Role

Falmouth Exeter Plus are seeking to recruit enthusiastic Casual Nursery Nurses to join the close-knit team at our nurseries at the Falmouth and Penryn campuses.

Our unique settings provide warm, nurturing environments and high-quality childcare for children aged 6 months to five years. Ofsted rated ‘Good’, our nurseries are extremely popular and led by a dedicated supportive team that create a warm, homely atmosphere that helps children to settle and thrive.

You'll assist in implementing daily planning and activities in a way which provides a stimulating and secure learning environment.

About You

The successful candidates will hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent, however candidates possessing a level 2 will also be considered.

You should possess previous experience of working with children, high standards of care, as well as a flexible approach towards working hours.

The nurseries are open Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm, therefore we are looking for candidates who are available to cover these hours across the week, when required. The hours for these roles will be on an ad-hoc/flexible basis, covering staff absence and therefore could fit around candidates existing commitments.

Due to the nature of the role, you will also be required to undergo an enhanced with regulated activity Disclosure & Barring Service Check.
