Job summary

Sunderland Greyhound Stadia is seeking a passionate Kitchen Porter to join our busy catering team. You will help keep kitchens and public areas clean during race days and events, operating plate wash and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

No formal experience required, but reliability, teamwork and a friendly, professional manner are essential. Casual shifts offer flexible hours around race days and functions, with competitive pay, training opportunities, and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team within a hospitality environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer care skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring workspaces and public areas remain clean and tidy throughout and after service.
• Carrying out cleaning duties as needed, always following Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Operating and maintaining the plate wash and pot wash machines, including daily cleaning.
• Assisting with stock rotation and safely storing food in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Using cleaning chemicals when required, while following PPE and safety guidelines.
