Job summary

The Crematorium and Memorial Group (CMG) is seeking a Casual Groundsperson for Beckenham Crematorium. You will maintain grounds, gardens and memorial areas to high standards, working as part of a team in a respectful environment.

Role requires physical fitness, outdoor work in all weather, and care for memorial spaces. Driving licence is desirable, with on-site parking available at many locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, horticulture, or outdoor maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Team player with good communication in a memorial setting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out seasonal gardening and landscaping, including mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, and hedge cutting.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of paths, lawns, memorial plots, and landscaped areas.
• Conduct routine checks and light maintenance of grounds equipment.
• Support with leaf clearance, snow and ice control, and seasonal planting displays.
• Maintain memorial areas with care and attention to detail.
• Assist families with basic memorial enquiries when required.
• Work collaboratively with the site team and support other duties as needed.
• Follow health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
