Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant in their Defence sector to be a part of our integral team at Driffield Cadet Training Centre.

Driffield Camp operates mainly at weekends supporting the Army Cadet Force (ACF). This community-based program offers a wide range of fun and exciting activities, e.g.:

• Fieldcraft: Learn outdoor survival skills, navigation, and teamwork.
• Adventure Training: Participate in thrilling outdoor adventures like rock climbing, kayaking, and hiking.

Aramark UK provide the catering service whilst the cadets are on-site – serving breakfast, lunch, and evening meal to them. In addition, there can be some adult military groups who also use the facility for their training and again we offer breakfast/lunch & evening meal.

As a General Assistant, you will mainly be working front-of-house. You will support day-to-day operations by serving food and beverages to our customers, alongside till work, cleaning dining areas and supporting both front and back-of-house areas. You will provide excellent customer service and report to the General Manager on site.

• We are offering a zero hours, permanent position. Shift times range from 6.30am – 7.00pm. The hourly rate is £12.21 (age dependent). This is typically weekends with a Saturday shift of 6.30am until 7:00pm and Sunday 6.30am until 2:00pm.

A day in the life of a General Service Assistant:

• You will be serving food and beverages to customers, ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to and excellent customer service is always provided.
• Stocking up, stock rotation, facing up, spot cleaning, cleaning dining and serving areas, both front and back of house.
• Operating the till and processing cash and card payments, ensuring you process any financial records accordingly. You will also be serving on the food counters and upselling products/sizes.

You will be set up for success if you have:

• Previous customer facing / food service experience is desirable, however full training will be given on site.
• For this role you must be 17+
• Must have eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role.
