Job summary

Salford Council is recruiting a Casual General Assistant to work in various kitchens around the Irlam and Eccles area. The role involves assisting with setting up dining rooms, washing up, serving meals and performing basic food preparation as needed.

Hours are variable and subject to service requirements. A DBS check is required, and the cost will be deducted from the first four months’ salary. You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK if invited to interview.

Location: Various locations throughout the Irlam / Eccles area

About the role: As a Casual General Assistant you will work in various kitchens within a set area of the city.

Duties may include setting up of dining rooms, washing up, serving of food and some basic food preparation.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
