Dignity Funeral Directors is seeking casual Funeral Service Operatives in Swindon to support families during services and behind the scenes. No prior experience required; full training and uniform provided, with flexible, on-call opportunities.

Role involves assisting at services, driving hearses, and maintaining dignified ceremonial standards while delivering compassionate, discreet support to families on the day.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Compassionate, empathetic and professional.
• Understands the importance of presentation and discretion.
• Physically capable of manual handling, including lifting and carrying.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible, including short-notice availability.
• Comfortable with direct contact with the deceased.

Responsibilities

• Assisting at funeral services: bearing coffins, setting up venues, and supporting mourners.
• Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines.
• Representing Dignity Funeral Directors with professionalism and empathy.
• Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day.
• Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct and service delivery.
