Have you got previous coaching experience? Want to coach for Southampton Football Club?

We are actively looking for football coaches to be involved in our popular summer football programmes, including our Soccer Schools, Residentials & Player Development Camps happening this summer. If you are looking for seasonal summer work around your current job commitments or education, then this opportunity is perfect for you. Certain summer programmes also provide accommodation for coaching staff for the duration of the camps.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Southampton Football Club’s department. To deliver high quality football coaching, inspiring a passion for sport from a young age, using the famous principles of The Southampton Way.

Our objectives for our players are Enjoyment, Engagement and Development within our sessions. You will look to provide active and inclusive sessions that inspire those of every ability, while creating a safe and fun environment to connect and enjoy football. Through all of these areas, you will offer high-quality coaching for players right across the player progression pathway, that support them to achieve their potential.

Is this you?

You create and coach a learning environment for players in accordance with Southampton FC’s Core Expectations and curriculums. You’re organised so you can keep track of each session and report back to the project lead when needed.

You have previous experience working with a variety of age groups particularly young players, and have excellent communication skills; liaising with parents, coaches, teachers and players in a professional and polite manner. You have a positive attitude and a confident personality who thrives when overcoming challenges.

Essential Experience:

1. Experience of working with a variety of age groups.
2. Experience in delivering high quality coaching sessions.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Minimum FA Level 2 or above
2. In date and valid FA First Aid and FA Safeguarding certifications

1. Have a positive attitude and receptive to learning
2. Good Communication and organizational skills

4. High level of confidence to deliver to a variety of participants
