Job description

The Vale Resort is an Award Winning, Four Star Hotel, comprising 143 bedrooms, five food outlets, two championship golf courses, and Wales’ largest spa, health, and racquets club. We also offer state-of-the-art sporting facilities and host top-flight international and club teams. Recent expansion includes Hensol Castle, transformed into a luxury and unique wedding and events venue, which has proven extremely popular. The renovation of the Grade I listed Castle has opened 20 luxury bedrooms, along with an award-winning Distillery, gin school, and visitor attraction tucked away in the cellar.

Hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

About The Role

Working as part of the Food & Beverage team, you will provide exceptional service to our guests, exceeding expectations. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Approaching and acknowledging all guests, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
2. Providing table service for diners in the bar and restaurant, including wine service.
3. Having awareness of menus and wine list, and ensuring all sales opportunities are maximized.
4. Championing guest service throughout the departments.

About You

You will have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Additional requirements include:

1. Knowledge of food safety and an understanding of allergens is desirable.
2. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
3. A commitment to working as part of a team.

Please note, for this role, you must be able to legally serve alcoholic beverages.
