Job summary

The Devonshire Group in Bakewell is seeking a Casual Farmyard and Adventure Playground Assistant to join our friendly team. This part-time, contract role focuses on customer service, animal care and maintaining the adventure playground with safety in mind.

You will engage with visitors, help deliver demonstrations, and support team training while being approachable and reliable. DBS check is required; driving license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Friendly and approachable; able to work as part of a team
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Confident around animals; prior farmyard experience advantageous
• Willing to undertake a DBS check
• Current driving license desirable

Casual Farmyard and Adventure Playground Assistant

Do you like to work outside with animals and children? If so, we welcome an application from you for this role.

You will work as part of a friendly team and your responsibilities will include; providing excellent customer service to our visitors, supporting the team in providing high standards of animal care, in addition to taking an active role in maintaining the adventure playground whilst being mindful of safety issues.

Using your excellent communication skills, you will also have the opportunity to assist with the delivery of interesting demonstrations and talks to groups of people and children on educational visits.

You will need to be friendly and approachable, able to provide excellent customer service and work well as part of a team. You will also need to be confident around animals, ideally with previous knowledge and experience of working with farmyard animals being advantageous. A current driving license is desirable.

This is a casual role working on an as and when required basis, the Farmyard is open 7 days a week, including bank holidays.
