Job summary

Liverpool FC is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Anfield Stadium kitchen in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This casual role offers flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.

You will help maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards while assisting the kitchen team with day-to-day duties. Prior kitchen experience and basic food safety knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as Kitchen Assistant or similar back-of-house role.
• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning standards.
• Experience operating dishwashers and pot wash equipment.
• Able to undertake manual handling requirements, including standing for long periods and lifting.
• Must be 18 years of age or over at time of application.

About the Role

The role supports the kitchen operation at Anfield Stadium in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The postholder plays a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety while supporting the wider kitchen team with day-to-day duties. This is a casual position offering variable hours on a flexible assignment basis, with shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar back-of-house role.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning standards.
• Experience operating commercial dishwashers and pot wash equipment.
• Ability to safely handle and store cleaning chemicals.
• Able to undertake the manual handling requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying and moving stock or equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions, work effectively with colleagues and work independently when required.
• Must be 18 years of age or over at the time of application.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a stadium, hotel, event venue or similar fast-paced hospitality setting.
• A Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• COSHH awareness or training.
• Experience with stock deliveries, storage and stock rotation.
• Experience assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
