Job summary

Liverpool FC is recruiting a casual Kitchen Assistant based at Anfield Stadium to support our kitchen operation in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety, handle dishwashing and stock tasks, and work flexibly across early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

This role requires flexibility, reliability and a proactive approach to teamwork within a busy stadium kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Kitchen Assistant or similar back-of-house role.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning standards.
• Experience operating commercial dishwashers and pot wash equipment.
• Ability to safely handle and store cleaning chemicals.
• Able to stand for extended periods and move stock or equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with colleagues.

About the role

Based out of Anfield Stadium, you will be supporting our kitchen operation in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety, while supporting the wider kitchen team with day-to-day duties.

This is a casual position offering variable hours on a flexible assignment basis. Due to the nature of the role, shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.

Who are we looking for?

You will have:

• Proven experience working as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar back-of-house role.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning standards.
• Experience operating commercial dishwashers and pot wash equipment.
• Ability to safely handle and store cleaning chemicals.
• Able to undertake the manual handling requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying and moving stock or equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions, work effectively with colleagues and work independently when required.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience working in a stadium, hotel, event venue or similar fast-paced hospitality setting.
• A Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• COSHH awareness or training.
• Experience with stock deliveries, storage and stock rotation.
• Experience assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
