About The Role

Capel Manor College is seeking passionate and committed Casual Distance Learning Assessor to join our Distance Learning team. You will play a key role in supporting and assessing adult learners working towards Level 2 qualifications through our online learning platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified assessors who enjoy flexible working, supporting learners to succeed, and maintaining high standards of assessment practice.

What you’ll be doing
  • Assessing and marking learner submissions on Level 2 distance learning programmes.
  • Providing constructive, supportive feedback through our online platform.
  • Supporting and guiding learners remotely, helping them progress and achieve.
  • Ensuring assessments meet awarding body and college quality standards.

What we’re looking for
  • Relevant subject qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Assessor Award (A1/TAQA/CAVA or equivalent).
  • Experience assessing vocational qualifications.
  • Strong IT and digital skills, with the ability to support learners online.
  • Excellent written communication and organisational skills.

Desirable: Experience of distance learning delivery and an IQA qualification.
