Job summary

The Perse School Cambridge is looking for an experienced Casual Cover Teaching Assistant to join the Pelican Team. You will work alongside teachers across Early years to Year 2, assisting in the classroom and supporting individual pupils, with potential duties in the before and after school clubs from 8am to 5.30pm.

This is a casual, zero hours contract with hours varying with demand. Start as soon as possible; closing date to 7 October at midday; applications considered as they are received.

Salary: £15.06 - £20.88 per hour

The Perse Pelican School is looking for an experienced Casual Cover Teaching Assistant to join the Pelican Team. The Cover Teaching Assistant will be expected to work alongside teachers and teaching assistants across the Pelican from Nursery (3-4 years old) to Year 2. They will assist in the classroom, working with groups of children and offering support to individual pupils as directed. They may also be expected to work in our before and/or after school club (Larks and Owls) from 8am to 5.30pm. The Cover Teaching Assistant may be given considerable notice of cover required for courses or pre-planned absence, or may be called upon at short notice for staff illness.

This is a casual cover position and so there are no normal hours of work. As a casual member of staff, requirements for your services will depend upon a varying level of demand for the particular activity.
