Job summary

Hilton in Brighton is seeking a Casual Conference and Events Assistant to deliver memorable hospitality experiences. You’ll set up rooms, assist with conferences and banquets, serve refreshments, and ensure spaces meet high standards.

You must be flexible for early mornings from 6:00 and late nights up to 3:00, enjoy teamwork, and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Free meals on duty and opportunities to take on extra hours are part of the role.

• Prepare event spaces: set up rooms, conference spaces, and banquet areas as required.

• Maintain event standards: keep spaces clean, organised and presented to high standards at all times.
• Promote a safe environment: follow health and safety procedures in all areas.
• Work as part of a team: collaborate with hotel colleagues to deliver exceptional events.

As a Casual Conference and Events Assistant, you’re not just supporting event delivery – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here’s What You’ll Do During a Typical Day

• Prepare event spaces: Set up meeting rooms, conference spaces, and banquet areas according to event requirements, ensuring all layouts and equipment are ready for guests.
• Support event delivery: Assist with the smooth running of conferences, meetings, banquets, and special events by providing attentive service and responding to guest needs.
• Serve refreshments: Deliver food and beverage service during events, ensuring guests receive prompt, professional, and friendly service throughout.
• Maintain event standards: Monitor meeting and event spaces to ensure they remain clean, organised, and presented to the highest standard at all times.
• Promote a safe environment: Keep all conference and event areas hazard-fri€e, following health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Work as part of a team: Collaborate with colleagues across the hotel to deliver exceptional events and create positive experiences for every guest.

Candidates must be available for occasional early morning shifts (starting at 6:00 AM) and late-night shifts (finishing at 2:00 AM or 3:00 AM) as required by operational needs.
