Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking Community Support Workers to join the Adult Disability Services team in Fylde and Wyre. You will support adults with a variety of needs to live independently in their own homes, helping with daily living, personal care and community involvement.

Salary £13.45 per hour | Casual hours per week | Adult Disability Service | Wyre

Location: Fylde and Wyre

Hours: Various hours/ Weekend / Sleep in shifts

Are you a caring individual who is passionate about helping people live independent, fulfilling lives? We are looking for compassionate, motivated, and reliable Community Support Workers to join our Adult Disability Services team in the Fylde and Wyre area. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
  • Support people with daily living activities, including personal care, medication, and mobility where required.
  • Promote independence, social inclusion, and community participation.
  • Help individuals access employment, education, volunteering, and leisure opportunities.

Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.

If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
