We are currently recruiting for our Supported Living Service…

Caring and reliable Casual Community Support Workers to work within the Preston Domiciliary Service in Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council.

We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support, to join our team. Our Domiciliary Service requires multiple Community Support Workers to make a substantial difference in the lives of people within our Adult Disability Service.

You will be welcomed into people's homes and help make their daily routines enjoyable with your upbeat attitude and friendly persona. Prior experience in Health and Social Care is not essential; a good heart and caring nature are what matter. We provide all necessary training, and qualifications are on offer, providing a great opportunity to progress and build a career in this service!

What we are looking for…

  • Passion – a desire to make a difference, providing support as second nature – supporting people with personal care, household chores, finances, medication, and daily activities. You’ll help them participate in community activities, outings, and outdoor pursuits, bringing smiles and happiness, and breaking down barriers they face daily.
  • Empathy & Resilience – understanding the challenges faced by those we support, with an empathic nature. You need motivation and determination to persevere through difficult days, communicating clearly and positively with everyone.

Reward – this is a highly rewarding role, seeing the positive impact you make in people's lives. From the start, you will receive support through induction and mandatory training. Opportunities for career development, including NVQ Level 3 qualifications, are available. Our supportive management team fosters a positive culture where shared values thrive.

Benefits: Flexible working options, up to 31 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension scheme with AVCs, discounts on various services, Medicash, support groups, cycle-to-work schemes, and the Blue Light Card for additional discounts. Details are available on our intranet.

Development: We support your personal growth and development, helping you make a difference, feel valued, and achieve job satisfaction.

Inclusivity: We embrace diversity and welcome all applicants, with no 'one size fits all' approach.
