Job summary

Lancashire County Council in Fylde and Wyre is seeking compassionate Community Support Workers to assist adults with disabilities in their own homes. This role offers casual hours, with weekend and sleep-in shifts, and focuses on helping people live independently and participate in their communities.

You will support personal care, everyday activities, and health and wellbeing, while promoting choice, confidence, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
• Support people with daily living activities, including personal care, medication, and mobility where required.
• Promote independence, social inclusion, and community participation.
• Help individuals access employment, education, volunteering, and leisure opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning and reviews.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, colleagues, and partner agencies.
