Job Description:

About Us

South Gloucestershire Community Services provides outstanding care and support within the local community. We enable individuals to stay in their own home, maintain their independence and wellbeing and our extensive range of services means that people can stay with us however their needs change.

As a charity we do not pay dividends to shareholders, and any profit we make is reinvested back into the services we provide. Everything we do is designed to meet an individual’s needs, putting the people we care for at the heart of all that we do.

Having the right qualities is all you need to start; there’s on-the-job training for everything else.

Overseas Applicants

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applicants requiring sponsorship for this position.

About The Role

You will be providing outstanding personal care and support to clients living within the local community.

Each day, you will be helping to maintain individuals independence and wellbeing.

Person-centred care will be at the heart of everything you do, which means you may need to administer medication in line with a clients care plan - full training will be provided.

About You

A naturally kind, patient and compassionate person, able to put a smile on clients faces.

Great communication and listening skills to enable you to listen to clients stories.

Committed to delivering excellent customer service, going the extra mile to remember the little things; milky tea with 2 sugars please!

Respectful of the dignity and privacy of others, you’ll be visiting their homes and meeting their family and friends.

Being able to work upon your own initiative with a great sense of humour, no two days will be the same.

Timekeeping skills are paramount, clients like to know they can rely on you, taking the time to listen and understand them but also ensure all tasks are complete.

No formal care experience is required, lived experience and personal qualities are much more important as full training will be provided.
