We are looking for a Casual Commis Chef. This is a casual role and will be reporting into the Executive and Head Chef. W e are looking for someone who has a strong background in a culinary environment as a Commis Chef.

Location: 100 Princes Street, Edinburgh

Employment Type:Casual

Working Pattern: Shift work (5 days on, 2 days
off)

Salary:£12.21 per hour + service charge

Scottish artisan weaver, Araminta Campbell, was commissioned to create five bespoke tartans for the hotel, that adorn the walls of every bedroom and suite. A number of bedrooms enjoy stunning views across Princes Street Gardens towards Edinburgh Castle. All guest rooms are equipped with every mod-con, including charging points for a variety of devices. The Wallace is our all-day lounge, dining room, well-stocked bar, library and tasting room, guests can dine on delicious hearty fare, made using the freshest local produce while sipping on a single malt or artisan gin, or relax and enjoy traditional afternoon tea while gazing at Edinburgh Castle.

Responsibilities of a Casual
Commis Chef:

  • Assisting in the preparation and production of menus
  • Preparing all dishes to the required standard and specification
  • Maintaining high health and safety standards
  • Being responsible for securing the kitchen when on late duty
  • Ensuring that sections are kept clean, safe and hygienic at all times
