Job summary

Arena Racing Company’s Wolverhampton Racecourse is seeking a talented and experienced chef to join our dynamic culinary team for race day events. This casual opportunity suits chefs who thrive in a high-energy hospitality environment and have a passion for delivering high-quality food.

You will work alongside a skilled team, follow recipes, manage stock, and uphold health and hygiene standards to ensure excellent guest experiences on busy race days.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a professional kitchen environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow recipes to produce quality, consistent food.
• Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations, HACCP procedures, and allergen reporting.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certification (training provided if necessary).
• Good oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a busy kitchen team to deliver exceptional meals for race day guests.
• Follow recipes to ensure consistency, quality and presentation of food.
• Maintain hygiene standards and comply with allergen and health regulations.
• Manage deliveries, stock rotation and compliance paperwork.
• Adapt and assist in other kitchen areas to ensure smooth service across stations.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and ensure guests enjoy an outstanding culinary experience.
