You are the face of the Catering Service operation as a Catering Assistant with Sodexo. This position involves making sure that all work areas are kept clean and organised at all times as well as preparing and serving our various menus. Your positive attitude and 5 star* customer service abilities will make you an indispensable part of everyone's daily life.

What you’ll do:
  • Assist with dining hall, counter setup and serving of hot and cold food.
  • Sanitise and clean workstations and equipment.
  • At the conclusion of meal times, serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables and dismantle stations.
  • Engage with students in the dining, retail, and serving areas.
What you bring:
  • Professionalism, empathy, and a positive outlook on life.
  • A vital attribute is being able to demonstrate a consistent teamwork mentality.
  • Basic food handling skills are preferred; however, not essential.
  • Ability to spend up to eight hours a day working while standing.

Package Description
  • Variable hours for day, evenings, and weekends shifts.

£12.60 per hour

Term time and non-term time. Special events and Summer School which runs for 4 weeks throughout the summer.

Start from May 2025 until September and beyond!

Free parking.

Meals provided on duty.

Working within a well-established, passionate, and driven Catering Team.

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks, and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at the interview stage.**
