A local care provider in Nelson seeks a compassionate Casual Care Assistant to support a client with a spinal injury. This role involves providing personal care and emotional support to help the client live independently. Flexibility is vital as shifts will vary. Are you passionate about helping others live life to the fullest? We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Care/Support Worker to join our team of Personal Assistants in the Nelson area.
In this rewarding role, you'll be supporting our client with a spinal injury to live independently in their own home and community and enjoy an active, fulfilling life. Every day will be different – from providing personal care to supporting them with daily routines, you'll play a key role in supporting someone to live life their way.
Please note you will need to be comfortable around smokers and pets, especially dogs. Due to the location, it is advisable to be able to drive to work.
A bit about us: Here at Salvere Support, we support individual clients in their own homes. Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person-centered care to really make a difference in our clients' lives. You’ll only be working with one client, which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day.
The hours: Casual Contract. Days of the week will be variable but are planned in advance. Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness as overtime when needed is required.

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training, and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
