Job summary

Bristol City Council is seeking friendly Bikeability Instructors for casual, variable hours based at Bristol Cycling Centre at Hengrove and in schools across Bristol.

Posts are zero hours casual with 7-hour days at the cycling centre and 6-hour days in schools, covering weekdays and weekends year-round. A DBS check is required and full National Standard Cycle Instructor status is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified full National Standard Cycle Instructor.
• Experience delivering Bikeability levels 1–3 is desirable.
• Ability to teach diverse groups of ages and abilities and engage learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cycling sessions at Bristol Cycling Centre and in schools.
• Teach Bikeability courses (levels 1, 2 and 3).
• Support disabled riders with inclusive cycling options.
• Provide encouragement, safety guidance and fun learning experiences.
