Job Description

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421, established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information, and cultural services for the city. Requirements

• NGB Award in any sport, Sports Leaders Award Level 2, NC Sports Coaching, or SVQ Level 2 Sports Coaching Award.

Responsibilities

You will assist in delivering classes within the citywide physical activity and sports programme, tailoring activities to your abilities across Active Dundee facilities, schools, and community areas. You will help deliver physical activity and sport programmes, adhering to Scottish Governing Body (SGB) guidelines and coach-to-participant ratios where relevant.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will hold one of the specified coaching awards, have practical experience in sports coaching (paid or voluntary), and experience working with children from diverse backgrounds. They should have a proven track record of planning and delivering structured sports sessions, with excellent organizational skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong communication skills, and the capacity to motivate others are essential. Flexibility to work weekends and a commitment to personal development are also required.

This role is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the PVG scheme. Candidates will need to join or update their PVG scheme prior to employment.
