An exciting opportunity to join the City St. George’s University of London anatomy demonstrator team has become available. At City St George’s, anatomy is taught as part of an integrated and spiral curriculum. In addition to lectures, anatomy is taught mainly in the Anatomy Suite using multiple resources, including plastinated cadaveric specimens, anatomical models, potted specimens and digital resources, such as Complete Anatomy and Anatomage.
Practical classes are led by academic staff and facilitated by our team of anatomy demonstrators, which is composed of experienced anatomy teachers, graduates, senior students (T-Year and above). Students benefit greatly from this diverse range of teachers, whilst our demonstrators gain invaluable teaching experience.
We wish to recruit demonstrators (both anatomical and clinical) for our anatomy teaching sessions for the academic year 2025. The successful individuals will be prepared to work on a bank basis. This is a fixed term one year post; suitable for individuals who would like to enhance their knowledge of anatomy and gain teaching experience in higher education. If successful, you are expected to attend a training day to inform you on sound teaching practices, especially in relation to the Human Tissue Act. You will be paid £14.31 (set by the University of London) for each hour that you teach, plus one extra hour for preparation (which includes arriving 30 minutes before the session and tidying your station).
