Job summary

The Responsible Casting Company in Clerkenwell, London, is seeking a practical Casting & Production Assistant for 2-3 days per week, on-site. The role covers wax preparation, tree building, basic CAD work for sprues, and production administration as we expand in-house mould making.

You will join a small, enthusiastic team and learn hands-on jewellery production, with flexible days and a supportive environment that values attention to detail, reliability and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Practical hands-on production experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in wax preparation and production tasks.
• Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks in a small workshop.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt in-house mould-making work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare waxes and pieces for casting.
• Build wax trees and sprue pieces for casting.
• Use CAD for basic sprue work and casting preparation.
• Check and organise customer jobs.
• Keep production records and admin up to date.
• Support the team with day-to-day production tasks.
• Involve in mould cutting as capabilities develop.
