Job summary

Premier Work Support is assisting a long-standing engineering client in Medway to recruit a permanent Factory Operative for the Casting department. The role involves operating robots, hand dipping, slurry testing, boilerclave work, and quality checks in a training-focused environment.

Hours are early shifts Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities; full training will be provided to develop skills within an established engineering setting.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a factory or manufacturing environment.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Able to follow written instructions and procedures.
• Detail-oriented and committed to quality.
• A good team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operating and loading/unloading robots.
• Carrying out hand dipping.
• Mixing and testing slurry.
• Operating the boilerclave.
• Processing components in line with work instructions.
• Completing production records and job cards.
• Carrying out quality checks.
• Following health and safety procedures and using PPE correctly.
• Carrying out manual handling duties safely.
