CASS Analyst

THE COMPANY: Our client is a leading Forex and CFD brokerage firm. They are seeking a CASS Analyst to be responsible for ensuring CASS compliance with UK regulatory requirements.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Produce and review daily internal and external client money reconciliations within agreed deadlines.
2. Challenge and enhance internal and external processes to ensure compliance and best practices.
3. Generate daily Client Money reports using automated platforms, ensuring all outstanding items are monitored and escalated efficiently.
4. Assist the Head of Compliance in overseeing day-to-day CASS, safeguarding controls and effectiveness.
5. Assist in the annual CASS audits, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
6. Responsible for preparing and timely submitting the monthly FCA CMAR return and other regulatory financial returns.
7. Liaise with finance and assist compliance in monitoring tasks.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Experience in a CASS position.
2. Strong knowledge of CASS7 regulatory requirements.
3. Some experience in client money reconciliations within financial services, investment, or wealth management.
4. Strong understanding of regulatory regimes governing client money, such as UK CASS rules.
5. Prior experience working with external auditors and managing audit delivery.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to handle data from multiple sources and generate accurate reports.
