To provide customers with a quality service for all cash sale inquiries, quotations, orders, payments, deliveries, and associated administration in the most cost-effective way for Hanson Quarry Products. To secure work, follow up on sales leads, and proactively seek new cash sale customers.

Key accountabilities

  1. Deliver QUOTIFIC customer experience: "quoted on time, delivery in full and on time, invoiced correctly"
  2. Answer incoming calls professionally
  3. Manage all incoming cash sales calls and emails, understanding customer requirements to process requests accurately and efficiently
  4. Build relationships and acknowledge internal and external customers individually, providing a personal service
  5. Navigate systems efficiently and keep customers informed at all times
  6. Support team ethos with a positive, enthusiastic approach and assist colleagues when required
  7. Create, amend, and confirm new customer cash sale orders, including all necessary details such as customer name, billing and delivery addresses, contact information, order date, delivery time, product type, and quantity
  8. Accurately process contracts, orders, invoices, service charges, sundry invoices, and queries
  9. Complete sales reporting, manual documents, and general housekeeping, along with other admin processes as needed
  10. Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints through active listening and proactive solutions, following complaint procedures
  11. Escalate customer requests or issues outside individual control or authority
  12. Proactively prospect within target markets and maintain a regular commercial call cycle with customers
  13. Liaise with internal stakeholders including Material Planners, ISRs, TSMs, Allocators/Pre-planners, FSMs, Site Plants, and Technical teams
  14. Develop knowledge of all roles within the team and across business lines to provide cover when requested
  15. Maintain high customer service levels through professional liaison with internal and external colleagues
  16. Proactively seek opportunities to maximize sales
  17. Review Barbour ABI and generate self-lead prospects
  18. Develop and maintain an effective commercial call cycle, transitioning customers into account customers and working closely with ISRs
  19. Support team morale and help colleagues achieve business goals
  20. Reconcile payments with Accounts
  21. Handle inquiries efficiently to simplify the process for customers
  22. Prospect for new cash sale leads and generate leads via Google search and social media
  23. Follow up on opportunities and nurture relationships
  24. Work with the commercial team to understand value adds for closing sales
  25. Negotiate appropriately, understanding the material's value to the customer (End Use)
  26. Increase repeat business through improved service levels
  27. Own pricing strategies to deliver increased margins
  28. Contribute to strategic targeting of desired market segments
  29. Understand production and truck capabilities to negotiate realistic delivery times, offering optimal solutions for customer satisfaction
  30. Apply market, product, and customer knowledge to day-to-day operations
  31. Understand the forward order book, forecasted sales, and operational capacity to support planning and budgeting
  32. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Education/Qualification

Good level of English & Math skills, with strong communication and negotiation abilities at all levels.
