What you’ll do

Location: Newbury

Finance Operations delivers services to the Finance organisation and business for all VB Group entities. It is accountable for delivery of all financial processes, Accounting/Management reporting. As a Finance Manager responsible for Cash and Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the company's financial processes. This role involves overseeing various MEC activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting the Finance Operations Manager in broader R2R matters. Your primary focus will be on cash flow management, working capital initiatives, FX analysis, and comprehensive financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Flow Management: Perform detailed analytical reviews on monthly cash flow actuals. Lead the cash flow review Flash and WD8 meetings with FP&A and senior management, drive action completions, and report on the status of working capital initiatives and actions.
  • Working Capital Initiatives: Act as the FinOps lead on working capital initiatives and support WC budget forecasting processes. You will be responsible for driving initiatives to optimize working capital and improve cash flow.
  • FX Process Management: Oversee the VOIS-led FX process outcome, ensuring that the FX outcome is fully understood and correctly executed. Act as the FinOps SPOC for FX, supporting FX-related queries and reporting on FX analysis on a monthly basis.
  • FX Adjustments: Prepare centrally managed FX adjustment entries, including Realised FX, Console entity FX, and manual translation FX.
  • MEC Activities: Support the Finance Operations Manager in WD+3 P&L Flash, book closure processes, HFM submissions, and the compilation of the P&L review pack for senior management approvals.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the preparation of management reports and analysis. Support ad-hoc analysis and quarterly/half-yearly submission processes, including S16, S15, ESG, LEA302, and Provisions.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks and Analysis: Support various ad-hoc tasks and analysis as required, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Who you are

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in finance operations, particularly in cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Detail conscious but able to take bigger picture view
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting software (Preferably SAP, Hyperion).
  • Fully Qualified (CIMA or equivalent) + 5 years PQE
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of IFRS an advantage
