*Cash Budget is Rochdale’s local term for a Personal Budget paid as a Direct Payment

The Cash Budget Team Leader will be essential to our service delivery, development and play a key role in making sure we provide efficient and effective support services across Adult Care Services and to people who use Cash Budgets.

The Team is a ‘one stop shop’ for everything about cash budgets at Rochdale Council. They are responsible for the provision of specialist advice, guidance & signposting, support planning as well as the payment, monitoring & auditing of Cash Budgets.

The Cash Budget Team Leader will work closely with the 2 Assistant Team Leaders who are responsible for the day to day, operational business as usual work of the team, enabling them to take a lead on development, change, contract monitoring and quality assurance.

  • You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively lead and develop people and teams
  • You will be an effective multi-tasker with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
  • You will be motivated and forward thinking, who can demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm
  • You will have a detailed knowledge and understanding of Cash Budgets for people with eligible Adult Social Care needs
  • You will have project/change management experience and be able to lead and drive change
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with people who draw on care and support, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • You will have excellent ICT skills and be able to use a range of packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
