Key Role Responsibilities:
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple fuel entities
- Ownership of daily cashflow preparation and submissions to treasury for the fuel entities
- Weekly cashflow forecasting; liaising with other departments to provide accurate and complete forecasts
- Develop relationships with other finance stakeholders to ensure ledger postings are timely and correct
- Develop and implement strong controls and procedures within the finance area, providing a strong base for the continued rapid growth of the business
- Opportunity to redevelop and implement new ways of working, to maximise efficiency and quality of reporting.
- Assisting with year-end accounting processes, including the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors
- Assist the Head of Accounting and Financial Control with other ad hoc projects as required
Key Skills/attributes:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Show an impressive attitude and not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career.
- Ability to prioritise tasks according to importance and urgency
Desirable skills/attributes:
- Experience of Sage X3 or similar accounting systems.
