Education, Inclusion and Achievement have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Caseworker to work in the Vulnerable Learner's Locality Team.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives working in a fast-paced demanding team environment. The caseworker role requires a highly motivated and well-organized individual, with excellent communication skills and experience of working with schools, agencies, children, and their families. Relevant experience working with schools, especially pupils with low attendance and who are not fully engaging in education, is preferred.
Candidates should be fully committed to supporting the outcomes for children and young people in Stockton, ensuring they can access, attend, engage, and receive a full-time education that meets their needs and helps them flourish and reach their potential.
The caseworker must be able to manage and prioritize a caseload, be solution-focused, resilient, confident in community home visits to parents, and comfortable working alongside senior leaders in schools. A commitment to learning new skills is essential.
The successful candidates will join a busy team responsible for parental responsibility, attendance legal measures, and children not in the school agenda. This includes working in partnership with school staff to provide advice, guidance, support, and challenge. There will also be opportunities to deliver professional development to groups of school staff.
