Job summary

The Pensions Ombudsman in Canary Wharf is seeking a Caseworker to join our team. The role supports adjudication, resolution, assessment or contact and support functions, handling cases with fairness and independence. Flexible working with 20% office attendance forms part of our hybrid policy.

We operate a permanent contract with a competitive salary of £38,812 per annum pro rata. Applicants from under-represented groups are welcome, and the organisation offers a strong learning and development

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK
• Security clearance to Baseline Personnel Security Standard

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of straightforward/moderate cases in line with TPO jurisdiction and standards
• Update casework management system accurately
• Assess/investigate cases by gathering information and examining evidence
• Write concise, well-reasoned outcomes on jurisdiction or merits of complaints
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed
• Develop internal and external relationships to manage own caseload
• Work flexibly across Casework and perform other duties as required
